Position Summary:

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Manager will partner closely with accounting team and external partners to provide technical accounting guidance to ensure complex and unique transactions are structured optimally and reported appropriately. As subject matter expert on technical accounting, the role will include ensuring accurate and timely reporting of Credit Agreement EBITDA and playing a key role in M&A diligence, purchase accounting and integration. The Manager will directly support the month end close.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong and extensive knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Strong and extensive knowledge of acquisition purchase accounting.
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to stay knowledgeable about, research and reach well-reasoned conclusions on technical accounting issues including changing lease accounting standards.
  • Support M&A strategy by participating in M&A due diligence, managing purchase price accounting, and assisting with integration activities while partnering with legal, FP&A, accounting and tax partners and valuation firm.
  • Ensure that accounting policies are well understood and partner with various teams to reinforce and operationalize accounting policies.
  • Proactively participate in the analysis of complex accounting matters, communicating results succinctly for non-accountants to understand.
  • Train and mentor teammates on complex accounting concepts.
  • Support external audit as well as other bonding, banking, and insurance reporting.
  • Participate in special projects, analysis, and reporting as required by senior management.
 
Position Requirements

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • CPA required
  • MBA preferred
  • Over five years’ experience in public accounting firm or related experience
  • Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, M&A Purchase Accounting, and internal control processes
