Description

Position summary

The candidate will support the Assistant Controller functions including reconciliations and analysis of accounts.

Essential tasks of the position

  • Reconcile our consignment locations based on customer consumption.
  • Record monthly commissions into Sage X3.
  • Process and reconcile intercompany invoices.
  • Submit monthly VAT tax reporting.
  • Perform trial balance reconciliations and analysis.
  • In-depth review of profit margins on sales.
  • Lead special projects and any other duties assigned by management.

Quality:

Activities of the position affect quality including quality objectives. Responsibilities and authorities include where appropriate:

  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to the product, process, or quality system, up to and including when necessary, stopping production to correct quality problems.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system.
  • Document problems, steps taken for resolution, and preventative action in CRM software and notifying all parties required.
  • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • Verify the implementation of solutions in areas under your control.
  • Control further processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming products until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
  • Perform duties and tasks as prescribed in company policies, procedures, and work instructions.

Education:

  • Accounting degree

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Highly proficient in Excel
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across the department

  • Ability to maintain professional conduct that exemplifies the corporate policies at all times, particularly when interacting directly with internal and external customers
