RES Graphic Designers are responsible for all types of graphic design for trade shows, from small placards to huge murals, from printed flooring to hanging signage. Provide layouts for pre-press approvals. Attention to detail required when validating measurements to fit custom exhibits. Collaborate with inhouse graphic production and sewing team to deliver accurate production artwork. Our graphic designers provide guidance for production and installation teams. Create a successful user experience through graphic design solutions. Graphic Designer is also responsible for development, presentation, and specifications for graphic design and development of motion graphics and interactive design, collaborating with external resources as needed. Works under supervision of Creative VP.
Productivity (60%)
Development, presentation and specifications for all graphic designs
Creates themes and graphic 'stories' for spaces and experiences
Provide accurate Release Sheets for client approval, estimating, production and installation.
Use production ready client artwork, manipulate client assets, and provide art direction for new concepts.
Ensure quality of all client provided assets
Support exhibit design presentations with graphic design, motion graphics and walk-thru animation editing
Develops creative programs and design concepts that meet the business objectives and that advance the brand strategy (of our client as well as RES)

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design
5 years of experience within tradeshow industry working in a graphic design environment. (Print design portfolio mandatory. Multimedia design experience beneficial)
Skills:
Compuer Skills: Syteline - Basic Skill Level Microsoft Office - Intermediate Skill Level, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign - Expert Skill Level, After Effects, Premier - Familiarity
Math: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, dimensions and ratios. Ability to measure. Ability to manipulate scale & proportion. Basic Geometry.
Organizational Skills and Reasoning Ability: the ability to concurrently manage multiple shows, multiple clients, multiple graphics within each exhibit; each graphic may contain multiple components. Must manage version control throughout approval process. Position requires policing design server for excessive files & archiving.
Language: Ability to interpret documents & design drawings such as brand guidelines, booth elevations, creative briefs, and procedure manuals. Strong verbal communication skills when dealing with internal & external customers. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, vendors, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate office equipment such as a computer, camera, copier, fax and other office equipment. The employee must occasionally lift/move up to 45 pounds. Long days during busy season. Climb stairs.
