Our History

eMDs was founded in 1996 by David Winn, MD, a board-certified family practice physician with a very strong business background who understood the value of having an integrated practice management system which helped physicians focus on patients while optimizing practice financials. Dr. Winn was dissatisfied with offerings on the market, and set out to create his own. The eMDs clinic was first implemented in 1998. Using our own practice management system meant we fully understood what it takes to create the perfect EHR system and why the company built our reputation upon being a highly usable system.

Many years later, we've retained the same values from our early days. We are dedicated to building the best integrated EHR and RCM systems and services. We focus on listening to our customers. And most importantly, we focus on making the practice of medicine enjoyable and fulfilling.

Summary of Job:

The Training Consultant II is responsible for content build, web training, on-site training and support for CompuGroup Medical larger customers on the use of CompuGroup Medical Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Practice Management Information System (PMIS) and related features.

Supervisory Responsibilities: No

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively educate and guide Client's Core team, end-users, super-users, on software configuration, and trainer front office and clinical staff on how to use CompuGroup Medical products both via web sessions and in live setting
  • Exercise independent judgment to organize and plan client sessions to ensure each session is tailored to the individual client needs in respect to their specific practice workflow and procedures
  • Perform analysis of Client's databases and take the appropriate course of action. Action taken may include but are not limited to:
    • Correct/address issues and/or problems identified during analysis
    • Communicate/escalate issues/problems to the appropriately to promptly and effectively address issues
    • Perform software customizations, ranging from basic to complex, in accordance to client’s requirements
  • Facilitate oversight of client expectations during the implementation process including, but not limited to, discussions with Customer/ Project Manager regarding potential issues which may result in incomplete task/milestones completion
  • Properly document all client interactions including telephone calls, client sessions, e- mail, etc.
  • Independently manage client communication including, but not limited to, ensuring accurate and timely follow-up to Client questions and issues
  • Attend and participate in internal meetings, and may be called upon to provide subject matter expertise on CompuGroup Medical PM and EHR software
  • Independently manage multiple priorities (i.e. customer sessions, follow-up questions, internal/external support, etc) while maintaining a high-level of service and customer friendly manner
  • Provide mentoring to new Training Consultants and other CompuGroup Medical employees to facilitate a faster on boarding to the company and the department
  • Contribute suggestions to improve training processes and trainer materials (manuals, LMS, etc.)
  • Maintain product knowledge for existing software and new releases of eMDs products
  • Submit accurate timesheets and training reports as required
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • College Degree preferred and a minimum of 3 years of applicable work experience in training electronic medical records and billing software
  • Must become an eMDs Certified Professional at completion of initial training
  • Ability to manage classes of up to 10+ students
  • Ability to deliver appropriate training to individuals with markedly different educational and skill levels
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications
  • Strong working knowledge of the eMDs Electronic Medical Records and Practice Management software is required
  • MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point and MS Project
