Description

Centennial Resource Development, Inc. (“CRD”) (NASDAQ: CDEV) is currently seeking an IT Business Analyst in our Denver, Colorado office. Reporting to the Director of Data, Analytics & Applications, the Business Analyst is responsible for working with various business units to align technology solutions with business strategies. The IT Business Analyst demonstrates an informed knowledge of a business area to resolve problems on an ongoing basis. This role supports several complex business processes and works on multiple IT projects as a project lead. This role will work closely with management to ensure enterprise software is supported, developed, and implemented according to agreed upon standards. The position requires an understanding of oil and gas specific business processes.

 

General responsibilities include:

  • Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
  • Willingness to understand the business unit(s) they support, as well as an understanding of the IT organization’s systems and capabilities.
  • Analyzes business partners’ operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.
  • Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.
  • Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications.
  • Educates the IT organization on the direction of the business unit.
  • Adheres to SOX application controls
  • Possesses an understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise’s competitive edge.

Compensation & Benefits Information:

  • Salary range is approximately $90,000 - $110,000, depending on specific experience*
  • Other forms of compensation for this position include:
    • Target bonus of 15% of base salary and any eligible overtime wages (discretionary based on company and individual performance)
  • This position is eligible for long-term incentives in accordance with annual compensation cycle

*Please note that Centennial may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range provided. Position Requirements

Requirements include:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of BI applications such as Spotfire/PowerBI
  • SQL Proficiency required.
  • 3+ years of relevant technical or business work experience.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
