Description

Temporary to Permanent Recruiter


About the Center for Policing Equity:
The Center for Policing Equity (CPE) conducts research that uses evidence-based, data-driven approaches to create more racially equitable policing practices.

Position Description:
The Center for Policing Equity is looking for a skilled Temporary to Permanent Recruiter with a passion for social justice. The Temporary to Permanent Recruiter must demonstrate a strong track record for helping organizations to scale personnel rapidly and will be responsible for coordinating and executing CPE’s recruitment efforts across verticals. The Temporary to Permanent Recruiter will source qualified candidates, coordinate screening interviewing with candidates, and recommend candidates to hiring managers across CPE’s teams. The Temporary to Permanent Recruiter will develop individualized recruitment strategies across all positions and will utilize their networks to find qualified candidates. Experience recruiting in a high growth non-profit organization is a plus.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Talent & Culture program to discuss hiring needs of the organization and required skills for each role

  • Define strategy for recruiting for each role including thinking creatively about where to post jobs

  • Source qualified candidates via job sites, databases, networking etc.

  • Help establish connections with professional groups, communities and other organizations to widen candidate pool

  • Maintain all job postings across all jobs

  • Select and present qualified candidates to hiring managers

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven success as a recruiter; minimum of 1-3 years experience

  • Hands-on experience in the entire recruitment life cycle

  • Non-profit hiring experience is a plus

  • Familiarity with recruiting software (e.g.; Applicant Tracking Systems)

  • Knowledge of effective hiring practices (e.g.; social media recruiting)

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong decision-making skills

  • Outstanding organization ability

  • BSc in HR, Business or relevant field
