Senior Infrastructure Administrator 

Description

We are looking for a well-rounded Senior Infrastructure Administrator with a solid foundation in network, security and system. Reporting to the Vice President, IT Infrastructure, you will work with IT leadership and the project management group to design and implement new solutions and operate existing IT infrastructure-related solutions for the Academy and Academy Museum.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with established policies and procedures to design and implement IT Infrastructure including servers, network equipment, and cloud solutions.
  • Manage and support Azure and AWS environments. Administer all interconnects between different sites and data centers.
  • Proactively monitor and audit IT environments, coordinate consistent patching cycles, and troubleshoot and direct adjustments as required.
  • Coordinate network and security incident responses.
  • Manage overall network security, routing, firewall policy, and access controls.
  • Provide support, respond to work orders from users, and analyze and solve reported technical problems.
  • Mentor members of the IT Infrastructure team.
  • Manage and maintain the existing network infrastructure. Install, configure, test, and document the network infrastructure according to the established design and specifications.
  • Work with Infrastructure Administrators to improve the current Business Continuity plan and Disaster Recovery plan.
  • Work with all business units, including vendors and consultants, to achieve a high-level of IT Infrastructure service.
 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or computer information systems. Equivalent related technical experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 6+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or 12 years of progressive experience leading up to this role.
  • Extensive knowledge in any enterprise-level network security solution, such as Cisco, Fortinet, PaloAlto, etc.
  • Experience in implementing enterprise-wide networks including routing and switching. Cisco certification preferred.
  • Experience in design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide Wireless Network Solution.
  • Experience in IT Infrastructure Monitoring and Logging solution.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in any cloud solution (AWS or Azure).
  • Experience in UCaaS or VoIP solution.
  • Experience in Windows, Linux and Virtualization Solution.
  • Availability to work extended hours as needed and possibly participating in 24/7 on-call support.
