About the Organization Established June 15, 1971, Valley Community Services Board is a publicly funded organization where citizens of Staunton, Waynesboro, and Augusta and Highland Counties can receive Behavioral Health, Substance Use and Developmental Services services. Valley Community Services Board serves as the single point of entry into publicly funded mental health, developmental, and substance use disorder services for these localities.

Description

Exciting opportunity for a licensed or licensed-eligible clinician to provide school-based outpatient counseling to children and adolescents in the public school setting. This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package. Services may include, but are not limited to: clinical assessments, individual and group counseling, family therapy, and service coordination with other involved providers. The clinician will also develop person-centered Individual Services Plans (ISPs) and document progress towards identified treatment goals and objectives. The clinician is expected to possess in-depth knowledge of the varied needs of this population. In addition, the clinician must be able to exercise sound judgment, function as an active member of a multidisciplinary team, and communicate and collaborate effectively with school personnel.

 
Position Requirements

Master’s degree in human services required. Licensure as an LPC, LCSW, or Clinical Psychologist preferred. Resident in Counseling or Supervisee in Social Work considered.
