Starting Pay: $32.2333 Hourly ($67,045)
After 1st Year: $33.3195 Hourly ($69,305)
After 2nd Year: $34.4404 Hourly ($71,636)
After 3rd Year: $35.9730 Hourly ($74,824)
After 4th Year: $37.1750 Hourly ($77,324)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Must meet at least one each of A and B):

A. At least one of the following:
a. Sixty (60) semester hours with at least 20 semester hours in the field of computer science, information sciences, or a related field, and at least 5 years of IT experience with 3 years managing enterprise Server and storage systems

-OR-

b. Seven (7) years of IT experience managing enterprise server and storage systems and possess AND maintain a valid Microsoft Certification

B. Minimum Certification
a. Obtain Comptia A+ certification within 6 months of employment.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Certifications and other job-related trainings will be required and will change from time to time as determined by the CIO.

May be required to be available during off hours to address systems issues on an as needed basis when required.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Performs technical tasks that encompass the installation, administration, and optimization of servers, storage and related components to achieve high reliability and performance. Ensures the availability of systems, configuring new implementations, and ongoing support for patching of the server and storage environment. Ensures the physical security, integrity, and safety of servers, data and backup media. Administer and supports the enterprise email system. Works under the supervision of the Chief Information Officer or designated staff member.

STATEMENT OF TASKS:
Plan, configure, test, implement, maintain and troubleshoot enterprise server and storage systems and related hardware/software/appliances.
Ensure that proper security practices are followed including monthly patching of software, updates to firmware and review of system logs on a daily basis.
Create and maintain documentation as it relates to configuration, processes, service records and security configuration.
Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex system problems for end users and support personnel, and recommend and implement corrective actions.
Respond to emergency outages in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans,
Monitor the performance of servers, storage and related components and troubleshoot and resolve problem areas as needed including but not limited to just upgrades and patches,
Administration and support of enterprise email system to ensure proper performance and reliability;
Provide training and written documentation for support personnel (which include Help Desk, computer technicians, and trainers, internal/external customers, and management;
Assist in research on relevant technology products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry;
Attend training seminars, conferences, and trade shows to broaden knowledge of current and future issues and technologies.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Highly self-motivated and directed with solid leadership skills.
Ability to work in and remain professional in a high stress environment.
Demonstrated understanding of enterprise server and storage systems.
Demonstrated ability to support and configure email systems.
Knowledge and configuration of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems;
Knowledge and configuration of IT Security best practices;
Knowledge and configuration of backup and recovery systems;
Knowledge and configuration of server virtualization;
Knowledge of government-related compliance frameworks including CJIS and HIPAA.
Ability to conduct research across a wide range of computing issues.
Ability to analyze design and architect appropriate technology solutions.
Passion for continuous learning and professional improvement.
