Share Email Opening Apply Now Title Barista  Description The Delta Hotels Orlando Celebration is currently seeking a dynamic, experienced and motivated individual for the position of Barista at our StepStone Hospitality managed hotel. This candidate should demonstrate excellent organizational & communication skills; a strong proficiency in multi-tasking The responsibilities of the Barista include but are not limited to: Greet all guests in a warm and enthusiastic manner. Memorize menu selections including being familiar with daily specials and basic ingredients. Use proper verbiage and etiquette when answering questions about ingredients. Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. Preferences of coffee, blend, dairy, and sugar ratios) Write drink order on the cup. Prepare beverages following recipes. Serve beverages and deliver prepared food such as cookies, pastries, and muffins. Receive and process payment (cash and credit cards). Keep the counter areas clean. Maintain appropriate stock levels of clean mugs, plates, and all merchandise. Assist in cleaning and wiping down of service areas and prep areas. Notify a supervisor immediately of any guest complaints. Ensure brewing equipment is operating properly and report any maintenance issues. Comply with health and safety regulations. Communicate customer feedback to supervisor/manager and recommend new menu items. Answer department telephone using proper telephone etiquette. Practice and observe all safety rules and procedures. Assist all service personnel in any duties as requested. Maintain and follow all cash handling procedures. Ability to accurately use various office software. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors. Ability to accurately report information. Ability to scrupulously follow all StepStone and hotel policies and procedures. Attend required meetings. Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care. Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change. Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development. Conducts him\herself (acts and dresses) within guidelines at all times. Understands and communicates the StepStone Mission and Core Values. Expresses ideas and conveys information clearly, effectively, and professionally. Actively listens to others. Conveys company information, decision, or problems to appropriate parties on a timely basis. Works to resolve disagreements and is respectful of peers and co-workers. Minimum lifting of 25 pounds. Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity. Hearing, writing, typing. Minimum pulling of 50 pounds. Other duties may be assigned. Must have knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations. Must have good mathematical and computer skills. High school education preferred. Relevant training and experience are required.
