Night Manager 


The Grand Orlando Resort at Celebration is currently seeking a dynamic, experienced and motivated individual for the position of Night Manager at our StepStone Hospitality managed hotel. This candidate should demonstrate excellent organizational & communication skills; a strong proficiency in multi-tasking with prior hotel experience required.


The responsibilities of the Night Manager include but are not limited to:

  • · Review VIP reservations and amenity orders for incoming and in-house guests.
  • · Update the computer system by inputting inventory and non-inventory items.
  • · Control the Suite book to ensure suites and special blocks are handled correctly.
  • · Maintain contact with the Reservations Service regarding requests for suites, special accommodations, etc.
  • · Maintain control over rate changes on in-house guests.
  • · Analyze data and make decisions based on previous experience and knowledge of circumstances to prepare
  • daily forecast of expected arrivals and departures.
  • · Perform front desk supervisor, guest service agent, reservations agent, and telephone operator duties.
  • · Accurately perform all cash handling and safety deposit box procedures.
  • · Monitor lobby traffic and make staffing adjustments accordingly.
  • · Monitor staff performance and administer disciplinary procedures.
  • · Accurately allocate and assign staff to provide quality service to guests. 50%
  • · Ability to verbally communicate effectively with guests, vendors, and other associates.
  • · Ability to adhere to all applicable Federal, state, local, safety, and health standards.
  • · Ability to assist with the design and preparation of statistical reports and presentations as needed.
  • · Ability to accurately reports information.
  • · Ability to scrupulously adhere to all StepStone and hotel policies and procedures.
  • · Attend required Hotel meetings.
  • · Ability to remain clam and alert, especially during emergencies or heavy hotel activity.
  • · Ability to resolve guest complications such as location changes or credit issues.
  • · Ability to effectively and timely field guest complaints by conducting research to develop the most effective

  • Physical Requirements
  • · Minimum lifting of 20 pounds.
  • · Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
  • · Hearing, writing, typing.
  • · Minimum pulling of 20 pounds.
  • · Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or General Manager.
  • Additional responsibilities specific to you are:
  • · Must have a comprehensive knowledge of service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • · Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all applicable Federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
  • · Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests and associates.
  • · Must have excellent mathematical and computer skills.
  • · Must have hearing and visual capabilities to detect, observe, and resolve emergency situations.
  • · High school education and relevant training and experience required. Additional education preferred.
  • · At least one year of relevant experience required.
  • · Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certificates.
  •  CPR training required; first aid training preferred.
  • · Additional language ability preferred
