For more information please visit www.astrazeneca.com .   Description Location: South San Francisco, CA We are currently seeking a senior undergraduate, or a Master/PHD student in Biology for an internship assignment during the summer of 2022. Core Responsibilities: Will be working on a project that requires use of Olink Proteomic platform and involves multi-variate data analysis to identify potential biomarkers associated with toxicity onset of inhalation drug using a rat model Work with and optimize different sample types such as serum and plasma for proteomic assays. Data will be correlated with pathology findings to support clinical trials Develop skills in running assays on state-of-the art equipment and interpreting complex proteomic results   Primary Duties: Molecular biology based lab work Handle and organize various sets of biological samples Compilation of large experimental datasets and consolidation of findings from different datasets Present work at team meetings     Position Requirements Position Requirements: Basic experience in working in safety cabinet and multi-channel pipetting Understanding of molecular biology and protein chemistry Attention to detail and thoughtfulness in laboratory work are essential.
