Tioga Medical Center is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist to join our Therapy department! Must have PT License or be working on licensure.

Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Responsibilities: 
Assess and provide physical therapy treatments as ordered by physician. Administer all types of physical therapy treatments including patient or resident education. Notify nursing personnel so they can assist with the patient or resident care plan. Observe patient or resident response to physical therapy and make recommendations to the physician. Perform safety and infection control procedures to ensure a safe and clean environment for the patients, residents, and staff. Complete clerical records and forms to ensure continuity and quality of patient's or resident's care.

Education and License:
Requires a bachelor degree, or its equivalency, in Physical Therapy from an institution accredited by A.P.T.A. and/or A.M.A.  The physical therapist must be currently registered and in good standing with the North Dakota State Examining of Physical Therapists or be working on licensure.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The position of physical therapist requires the visual, auditory, and manual ability to assess patient's and resident's condition, and to interpret and perform physical therapy treatments as ordered by the physician; must have the manual dexterity to lift 50 pounds or greater to assist with lifting or moving residents or patients; must be able to respond in a quick manner regarding unexpected patient or resident safety needs; must be able to perform safety and infection control procedures as required by OSHA; must have the ability to use equipment for physical therapy such as whirlpool, ultrasound, chest percussor, etc.; must have the ability to complete forms and records; and, must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork; must have ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
