Email Opening Title Sober Transitional House - House Monitor -TEMP  Description Dates of Temp Position: April 2022 - August 2022 Job Summary The Sober Transitional House - House Monitor will advocate and support individuals with substance use disorders and possible co-occuring disorders. The STH House Monitor will provide, and maintain a safe environment for all staff and clients. Incumbent will monitor, both male and female houses, primarily during the swing and graveyard shifts. All duties and responsibilities will be performed in accordance with the Yellowhawk Mission and Vision statements, policies and relevant laws.   Position Requirements Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or Equivalent. Minimum of two (2) years abstinence or in recovery from a substance use disorder with a strong recovery program and system of natural supports. Ability to understand and execute complex written and verbal instructions. Demonstrated skill and ability to use automated office equipment, i.e., copier, printer, telephones. Demonstrated experience with basic computer skills and computer programs – i.e. Microsoft Office programs Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills Must submit to and pass a reference and criminal background check. Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and intermittent drug/alcohol testing. Must have ability to work a rotating schedule that includes days, evening, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must submit COVID-19 vaccination. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with the recovery process of alcohol and other drug use. Conflict resolution skills. Experience working with or supporting a trauma-informed system of care. Basic computer skills, good verbal and written communication skills and familiarity with Native American/Alaska Native cultures and the CTUIR community.
