Essential Duties/Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Responsible for driving delivery vehicles including operating truck-trailer combinations and straight trucks to transport and deliver materials to construction sites Adheres to driver safety/compliance regulations, delivers un-damaged goods on schedule, and provides professional service to internal customers and external suppliers Will load and unload or assist with loading and appropriately securing product, materials, or supplies on the delivery vehicle Maintain Organization of Yard and Materials Operate a Forklift or non-motorized material handling equipment to load and offload materials to designated areas Verifies order details and maintains logs of delivery duties including amounts and/or weights of items, mileage and locations of deliveries Required to use handheld devices, except for while driving, to ensure compliance with DVIR and HOS Maintain hours of service logs and pre/post-trip inspection procedures Plan routes and meet delivery schedules and/or follow planned routes via dispatching software Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures Will perform material ordering, counting, stacking, moving, staging, securing, and completing necessary documentation of activities Travel 10% (overnight travel) Performs other duties as assigned   Position Requirements Experience: High School Diploma or GED, 21+ years old, valid Proven driving experience of a Class-A combination tractor-trailer Has work within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds frequently and on occasion may be required to lift and carry, with assistance, up to 200 pounds May be required to perform specific tasks that involve climbing, lifting, pushing or kneeling Must be able to physically operate delivery vehicles (climb up and down into cab, twist torso for 360-degree visibility, use arms to operate controls, etc.) Experience operating a forklift Posession of a valid Class A Driver License is required for employment Candidates must pass Criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.   Open Date 4/13/2022   Close Date   EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
