What you will do

As a Senior Consultant you will deliver innovative solutions for clients. You will:

  • Work on strategic and tactical projects focusing on Microsoft technologies across industry verticals (e.g. healthcare, financial services, insurance, manufacturing, retail, state and local government, education, legal, etc.)
  • Perform Design and Planning projects including data gathering, workshops, creating project documents, and presenting findings and designs.
  • Perform Implementation and Deployment projects including design, build, testing, migration, transfer of knowledge, and support.
  • Perform Assessment projects for health check, security, virtualization, remediation, and optimization.
  • Develop rapport with Advizex customers and aspire to be their Trusted Advisor. For solutions in your area of subject matter expertise, you are their first call, before they implement anything new. Customers look to you for insight based on your wealth of experience and knowledge of best practices.
  • Continue to develop and mature your skills with Microsoft 365, Azure, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, System Center and other complimentary cloud and on-premises technologies.
  • Attain certifications for personal development and Advizex partnership requirements.
  • Ensure solutions meet or exceed customer requirements for performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
  • Work with Advizex sales and pre-sales teams as a contributor and subject matter expert in project scoping.

  • Expert-level skills with:
    • Windows (11, 10, and 7)
    • Microsoft Endpoint Manager (SCCM and Intune)
    • Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)
    • PowerShell scripting, image engineering and task sequence development
    • Office/Microsoft 365 Enterprise Apps configuration, deployment and support
    • Hyper-V and application virtualization technologies
    • Advanced application packaging
  • Pro to Expert-level skills with:
    • Cloud Management Gateway, Co-Management and Cloud Attach
    • Group Policy Management and Configuration Service Provider
    • Conditional Access and Application Protection Policies
    • Endpoint Analytics and Desktop Analytics
    • Azure/Windows Virtual Desktop
    • Microsoft Security Compliance Toolkit
    • Microsoft BitLocker Administration and Monitoring
    • Local Administrator Password Solution
  • Admin to Pro-level skills with:
    • MacOS, iOS, Android, and Linux device configuration and management
    • Windows Server, SQL Server, and SQL Reporting Services
    • Active Directory, Azure AD and Azure AD Connect
    • Services such as DNS, DHCP, PKI, WSUS, PXE, RSAT, etc.
    • Power Automate and Power BI
    • Windows Autopilot
  • Ability to incorporate Data Protection, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, and Security into solution designs.
  • General Infrastructure (Servers and Storage) experience to support solution implementations.
  • General Networking (Connectivity and Security) experience to support solution implementations.
  • 3+ years of success in complex, technical projects, including design and planning, implementation, deployment, and support

Optional skills include:

  • System Center, specifically SCOM, but also SCVMM and SCDPM
  • Office/Microsoft 365 skills with the rest of the suite beyond Exchange Online, such as Skype for Business and Teams, optimally with VoIP integration
  • Experience designing and deploying Identity and Access Management solutions, such as FIM and MIM, along with other SSO and MFA solutions
  • Experience with third-party migration tools, such as Quest Migration Manager for AD and Exchange and Binary Tree
  • Experience with third-party workstation backup tools, such as Veeam, Druva, CrashPlan, etc.
  • Server and/or desktop Virtualization Solutions from VMware, to support solution implementations.
  • Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions

Education and Certification

 

  • Attained, or work equivalent of, Bachelor's Degree, preferably, but not required in a technical area of study, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.
  • Attained, or work equivalent of, advanced, relevant certification such as Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator. If not currently holding certification, willingness, and ability to attain the certification within a reasonable time after hiring.

 

General skills and experience (preferred)

 

  • 5+ years of technical consulting experience
  • Strong communication skills, including timely and clear email, phone, or text messages.
  • Ability to work effectively with Advizex and customer teams.
  • Basic Project Management skills, for status reporting, communications, and scheduling.
  • Solid writing skills, including the proper use of grammar and punctuation to complete professional documentation.
  • Professional presentation and behavior, including time management, punctuality, and meeting or exceeding customer expectations for dress.
  • Ability to self-manage, as you may be responsible for meeting internal and/or customer deadlines and delivery expectations.
  • Experience with standard Office Applications, such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Visio, etc.
  • Open to travel - travel across the team is typically 15% or less but short-term travel is possible, so candidates need to be willing and able to travel accordingly.
