ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The HR Recruiter is responsible for attracting and selecting qualified candidates with the right combination of experience, education, skill set, and aptitude to fill exempt and non-exempt level positions throughout the organization while ensuring EEO/AA compliance. Successful incumbents will effectively minimize turnover and increase productivity through thoughtful recruitment practices and be a critical representation of Omni character and work ethic. Duties shall include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Responsible for the full recruitment process: processing requisitions, screening resumes, conducting phone screens and in-person interviews, and preparing job offers
  • Coach managers and supervisors through the interview and candidate selection process to effectively choose the right candidate
  • Source applicants through various methods including advertising, job sites, open houses, and career fairs
  • Coordinate interviews and candidate discussions cooperatively with hiring managers and build critical cross-functional relationships in the organization
  • Share the organization’s mission and how the candidate can fulfill a specific role
  • Maintain and exercise proper disposition of all HR files; audit files, documents, document retention, maintain digital folders
  • Maintain proper records of personnel transactions in accordance with Federal regulations and corporate policy and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of all company and personnel related information
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws as well as the Affirmative Action Program and recruitment and hiring policies and procedures
  • Develop continuous improvement strategies and implementation of HR processes
  • Partner effectively with HR colleagues and support all areas of Human Resources: Affirmative Action, Badges (CAC, OAI, SIDA), Benefits, Backgrounds, Drug & Alcohol, FMLA, Pass Travel, Recruiting/On-boarding, Training, Workers Compensation, and Unemployment as directed
  • Provide assistance to HR Manager and HR Director as needed
 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism, and ability to communicate effectively with the public and co-workers on the telephone, in person, and group settings
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, punctuation, and analytical skills are required
  • Ability to exhibit high level of confidentiality and reliability
  • Ability to exercise initiative in completion of tasks
  • Availability to travel as departmental events require (<25%)
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year Background/Criminal check and pre-employment drug screen

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum two years of recruitment related work experience or a degree in lieu of experience
  • Knowledge of various employment laws and practices preferred
  • Experience working with Affirmative Action programs a plus

 

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

 

  • May be required to lift of push 50 lbs, set-up equipment/materials at events, and store items overhead
  • Requires arm and hand steadiness and sufficient finger dexterity to use office equipment
  • May be subject to walking, standing, sitting, reaching, balancing, bending, kneeling, handling, climbing, and twisting
  • Requires ability to sit or stand for long periods

 

 

MENTAL CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Ability to handle numerous activities at once and complete in a timely manner
  • Work with limited supervision and possess an impeccable attention to detail, excellent customer service and organizational skills required
  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gathering and analyzing information skillfully with significant detail
  • Ability to make decisions which impact the department’s credibility, and services
  • Ability to compose letters, outlines, memoranda, and basic reports
