Custodian Part-time Days 

Position Details Utility Aide Part-time  
Shift Hours 11:00am - 3:00pm  
Number of Bi-weekly Hours 40 hours (10 days per biweekly pay period)  
Days of the week Monday through Friday  
Weekends/Holidays Every 3rd Weekend

The Utility Aide will support the Frederick Living Mission of caring for and enriching the lives of older adults with the following essential responsibilities:

  • Maintain floors in all hallways.
  • Pick up trash in all departments.
  • Sweep carpeted floors daily.
  • Sweep and wash linoleum floors daily.
  • Tear down boxes.
  • Keep a good floor care Q.A. program, maintaining records of same as directed by supervisor.
  • Abide by the organization’s code of conduct in the performance of their duties.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties when necessary.
  • Set up and tear down auditorium for Frederick Living functions.
  • Operate floor care equipment.
  • Use safe body mechanics when performing job duties.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to climb, crawl, reach, grasp, crouch, stoop, maintain balance, push and kneel to adequately perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to adequately perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Ability to hear, see and speak to adequately perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Ability to work in inside and outside environmental conditions, as necessary.
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders.
