About the Position:

CPE is seeking a proactive and skilled Sr. Project Manager for a temp-to-hire position supporting its Finance & Operations (FinOps) team. The Sr. Project Manager will leverage their background in project setup, milestone tracking, risk assessment and mitigation, and reporting on status throughout to assist the senior leadership of FinOps, primarily the Senior Director of Talent & Culture, in leading multiple projects of complex scope and high visibility. The role will require strong collaboration and leadership with multiple teams across the organization.

This role is expected to work for a term of 6 months, with possible renewal/extension depending on need and performance. The Sr. Project Manager for Operations will report to the VP of Program Management who leads a team of cross-functional colleagues.

We emphasize a collaborative, thought-partnership approach to:

  • Steward the financial health of the organization

  • Maximize CPE's human capital, and aligning it with its mission, values, and strategic priorities

  • Provide expert consultation, services, and operational solutions to stakeholders, empowering them to achieve maximal impact and efficacy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Help the Senior Directors of Talent & Culture and Finance in creation of project plans for executing a data migration to a new HRIS, create project plan (workflow tasks and milestones) for a large-scale launch

  • Risk Management: Proactively identify risks to sunsetting one HRIS and launching a new HRIS with an organization of 100+ employees, effectively addressing and resolving issues

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Clearly distill and communicate complex ideas into easy-to-understand language, prioritize tasks and activities for diverse audiences including org executives, program staff, and external agencies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree / 5+ years of Project or Program Management experience

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee and human resource information and assure employee rights are protected

  • Demonstrated experience with a variety of project management methodologies and tools (preference for Asana)

  • Ability to quickly adapt and apply new project management processes to a growing organization

  • Specific knowledge with HR tools required (HRIS, applicant tracking systems)

  • Ability to partner with Professional Employer Organization (PEO) for guidance and recommendations

  • Ability to handle ambiguity and juggle multiple priorities at the same time

  • Exceedingly strong communication skills (both written and verbal), with a passion for distilling complex ideas into language that is easy to understand

  • Be a strong team player, assisting the overall team and peers to achieve success
