Description

Job Summary:

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for answering and processing agent and insured inquiries for Weston Insurance Management's Commercial and Personal Lines of Service in a prompt, courteous and organized fashion per training protocol.

Job Duties:

  • Ensure timely arrival for assigned work shift and be logged in for calls at the start and duration of each shift.
  • Handle day to day client needs by phone or as needed.
  • Process policy changes and related documents as requested.
  • Provide direct assistance for inquiries.
  • Provide assistance and technical guidance as it relates to policies, billing inquiries and claims status requests in accordance with department performance standards.
  • Effectively relay information associated with Weston's processes and best practices to provide high quality, professional service by following established departmental standards and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 2-20 Florida General Lines Agent License Preferred
  • 4-40 Florida Resident Customer Representative Preferred
  • 1-3 years as an insurance representative and customer service experience, preferably in a call center environment.
  • Knowledge and a solid understanding of general and technical aspects of the job.
  • Working knowledge of the P&C insurance field.
  • Ability to work both independently, and as a member of a team.
  • Strong verbal communication, listening and comprehension skills required. Must have the aptitude to learn, retain, interpret, and effectively access various forms of information.
  • Bilingual candidates desired.
  • Ability to make decisions within position standards, generally applying defined guidelines and procedures. However, some interpretation may be required in dealing with exceptions, such as choosing from two or more pre-defined alternative courses of action.

Education Required: Associates Degree, Technical Degree, or the equivalent in specialized knowledge and experience.
