Our client is seeking to hire a Naval Architect (Icebreaking) SME to join our team in Washington, DC. Upon award, you will:

  • Possess industry-recognized expertise in the design, acquisition and testing of icebreaking- capable ships.
  • Be able to provide input and direction for icebreaking studies, testing, model testing, and design.
  • Oversee testing, compile documentation.
  • Knowledge of icebreaking design, hull ice load predictions, and structural design.
 
Position Requirements

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Recognition by marine industry leaders as an expert in icebreaking, supported by publications, relevant national/international conference proceedings, expert witness testimony or similar.
  • Documented experience designing, overseeing construction and/or testing USCG, international, or commercial/ice- strengthened vessels.
  • Expert in field of marine polar technology and engineering.
  • U.S. Citizenship is a prerequisite.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

 

This position is contingent upon and subject to the award of the contract from the government. You will be hired on a contingency basis.

Some TCG customers require individuals providing support to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations. COVID-19 vaccination status may affect employment opportunities.
