Location: South San Francisco

We are currently seeking a senior undergraduate or MS/Ph.D. student working towards a degree in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology for a 10-12 week internship assignment during the summer of 2022. 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and advance new methods and cellular assays to explore the mechanisms by which therapies may exert cytotoxic effects to healthy tissues and lay a foundation for safety biomarker discovery
  • Collaborate with Scientists from across integrated Bioanalysis and Clinical Pharmacology & Safety Sciences
  • Gain insights into working with complex human models and developing safety biomarkers that can be used in clinic to enable early detection of drug-mediated adverse events.

 

Primary Duties:

  • Develop and maintain in-vitro and ex-vivo tissue model
  • Perform in vitro experiments (Western blot, qPCR, immunostaining, ELISA) using advanced in-vitro and ex-vivo tissue model systems to evaluate the mechanisms of ADC-induced toxicity
  • Generate, interpret and communicate data
 
Position Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Basics lab experience with cell culture and in vitro assays
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organization, presentation and writing skills
  • Familiar with pathways and mechanisms associated with oncology, respiratory diseases
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0+
