Kansas City has an immediate full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity for a Substance Abuse Counselor at a 16 bed-residential treatment program in Miami County, Kansas. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Provide group, individual and family counseling for clients. Conduct comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments to include overall functioning. Collaborate with clients to develop both treatment plans for residential stay and after care plans for ongoing recovery once leaving the program. Meet with family members and provide guidance and support. Participate in team meetings and feedback sessions. Maintain treatment related documentation within electronic client record.   Position Requirements Candidates must have a Kansas social work license (LMSW or LSCSW) and ideally Kansas substance license (LAC, LMAC or LCAC); however, this is not required upon hire but an expectation of employment.   This position is currently not accepting applications.
