Senior Coordinator, Member Relations and Awards 

Description

Reporting to the Associate Director, Membership and Awards, the Senior Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Film Editors and Marketing and Public Relations Branches. Other responsibilities include logistical support for events such as New Member Receptions, Women’s Luncheon, Governors Awards, Nominees Luncheon, and the Oscars. You are organized, extremely efficient, and able to anticipate the needs of a fast-paced office. In addition to being a proactive team member, you are an excellent communicator who is tech-savvy.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support including scheduling and preparing material for the Film Editors and Marketing and Public Relations branch committees.
  • Provide logistical support including ticketing, seating, CRM input and check-in for events such as the Oscars, Governors Awards, Women’s Luncheon, and New Member Reception(s).
  • Manage RSVPs for committee meetings and other events.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Prior administrative experience, preferably in the film or entertainment industry, with the ability to work discreetly and professionally with high level executives, VIPs, a Board of Governors, Academy members, and the public.
  • Highly professional verbal and written communication skills with special attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with Academy members, colleagues in the Member Relations and Awards team, other Academy departments, and outside companies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Experience with relational databases a plus; CRM and AirTable desired.
  • Ability to work and meet deadlines under pressure and change tasks as needed.
  • Availability to work some nights and weekends as needed.
