The purpose of a Operations Manager is to oversee the planning and coordination of a company's inventory and purchasing departments. They are tasked with researching best prices, monitoring inventory levels, distributing supplies, and negotiating contracts. Primary responsibilities include: Determining order frequency. Evaluating different suppliers. Defining shipping requirements. Ensuring purchases meet the criteria of the company. Negotiating contracts. Discussing and defining prioritized criteria. Other duties as assigned Managing staff on production, scheduling, discipline, & training. Ensure a safe, secure and legal work environment.   Position Requirements Required skills and qualifications In-depth knowledge of supply chain and inventory management systems. Hands-on experience with forecasting and budgeting. Excellent organization and time-management skills. Analytical thinking with problem-solving aptitude. Outstanding communication and leadership skills. Education / Skills High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D. Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business or related preferred 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred Manufacturing experience a plus Plex-ERP System knowledge a plus Excel & Word experience required Excellent verbal & written communication skills Excellent Interpersonal and customer service skills Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of walking and standing on the production floor Some periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to access and navigate the production facility Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time APG is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
