Share Email Opening Title Tool & Fixture Designer  EOE Statement Barrett is an equal opportunity employer.    Description Develop mission critical special tool and fixture designs for both new products as well as implementing new processes to replace old or obsolete equipment as directed by the manufacturing engineers. Update and Improve designs as needed for design changes on existing products. Ensure that the drawings are available for the engineering machine shop and quality personnel. Create Design Concepts and source new fixtures and tooling for various manufacturing operations. Procure machining services of the tools and fixtures to outside vendors. Perform functionality studies on new and existing tooling when required. Research new technology to develop and improve manufacturing processes. Confers with vendors to determine product specification and arrange for the purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specification and quality standards. Perform related duties as needed by the Product Development team to manufacture new products. Perform other duties as directed by supervisor or management. Must troubleshoot and correct fixtures if they will not perform as intended.   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Position Tool & Fixture Designer   Position Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology, and/or relevant experience. 10 years manufacturing experience minimum. Some experience with PLC’s and industry standard automation helpful for future development.
