Part-time Instructor, HTML5 and CSS3 Web Development - Java Script 

Description

1.Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in the appropriate subject matter.
2.Instruct students in competency-based program curriculum using current instructional strategies appropriate to the subject matter to assure highest quality classroom instruction.
3.Effectively manage the classroom to create an optimal learning environment.
4.Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by district policy and certification/regulatory agencies.
5.Ensure syllabus, supply list and lesson plans are current prior to each class taught.
6.Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism (i.e. – prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual, etc.)
7.Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Tech’s Adult Career Development program.
8.Participate in professional development opportunities as required by the ACD department.

 
Position Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years industry experience using the latest iterations of HTML and CSS (HTML5 and CSS3) and Java Script.
  • A Web Related Certification is required
  • Experience with Python a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability creating web/mobile templates and components using modern design best practices with clean, minimal, and reusable HTML and CSS.
  • Understanding of usability and web accessibility best practices and the ability to instruct in the meeting of these requirements.
  • Experience teaching adults strongly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in training and teaching others.
  • Available to teach at least one evening a week as scheduled throughout the spring, summer, and fall terms.

Salary Schedule Standard Rate Schedule for Non-Regular (Temporary, Adjunct, Substitute) and Regular Part-Time Employees

About the Organization Tulsa Tech is the oldest and largest career & technical training center in OK. We are an independent public school district, with multiple campuses in the Tulsa County area. Our school serves secondary students from public school districts throughout Tulsa County, as well as private, parochial and home-schooled students.
