We are currently seeking candidates who are working towards obtaining a Bachelors degree in Engineering for an internship during the summer. This summer internship opportunity ETS Engineering group.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for process equipment and systems

  • Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and process performance optimization

  • Resolve daily operational issues for manufacturing

  • Monitor equipment performance

  • Identify equipment issues and engineer potential solutions

  • Install or replace components and equipment; and assist in commissioning new equipment

  • Write, track, and execute SAP work orders

  • Create and/or revise Preventative Maintenance plans

  • Coordinate maintenance activities with Facilities

  • Obtain quotes and purchases spare parts and equipment, and adds parts to the SAP inventory system

  • Walk down equipment and review Piping & Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs) for technical accuracy

  • Create Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) documents

  • Write other documentation including: user requirements, specifications, protocols, HECPs, drawings, and reports

  • Participates in shutdown and return to service activities

  • Develop technical training plans


Position Requirements
  • 2 years of undergraduate work toward a B.S. in Chemical (preferred) Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.

  • Other technical degrees relative to Biotech and Pharmaceutical manufacturing may be considered.

  • Prior GMP experience biotech manufacturing environment a plus.

  • Previous experience with fermentation/cell culture, CIP, SIP, centrifugation, filtration, chromatography, and operating automation systems a plus.

  • Hands on mechanical, electrical and/or electronic skills a plus

  • Strong interpersonal skills, outstanding verbal and written communication skills are essential.

  • Good documentation, writing and communication skills are required.

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0+
