Description

JOB SUMMARY:     Under the supervision and direction of Behavioral Health Services Area Director and the Behavioral Health Associate Service Area Director is responsible for managing the clinical and administrative operations of the crisis programs in Burlington County, ensuring that they operate within State and County contract standards, within N.J.A.C 10:37 regulations, and that clinical, quality, and financial goals for the program are met or exceeded.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  1. Provides direct clinical and administrative supervision to the staff to provide support and guidance to manage the daily operations of the program.
  2. Responsible for managing and approving the timesheets in Nova-Time for the Crisis Services staff.
  3. In conjunction with the Lead Clinician in each Crisis Services Program, ensures that all clinical services are delivered with good clinical practice, are appropriately and timely documented, and meet all the standards to endure proper billing.
  4. Ensures that that all Management Functions for the Crisis Services program are completed as defined Catholic Charities policies and procedures.
  5. Acts as a liaison to other service providers both within and external to Catholic Charities as needed to coordinate care for the Crisis Services Consumers.
  6. Recruits and hires staff in the Crisis Services Programs and ensures that the hired staff meets the criteria for the specific position as defined in N.J.A.C. 10:37E-2.60.
  7. Ensures that the Crisis Services Staff are thoroughly trained in the responsibilities of their job and have the resources to complete their job functions.
  8. Completes probationary and annual performance evaluations for the Crisis Services Staff in accordance with Catholic Charities Human Resources Policy HR 10 - Policy on Evaluations and Competency Assessment.
  9. Appropriately facilitates any staff disciplinary action of the Crisis Services Staff, ensuring that the process adheres to Catholic Charities Employee Handbook of Personnel Policies and Procedures 5.10.
  10. Develops an annual Quality Improvement Plan (Logic Model) in conjunction with the Director of Compliance and works with the Crisis Services Staff to implement and manage the plan.
  11. Establish and coordinate relationships with colleges or universities for internship collaborations and coordinates with the appropriate Catholic Charities staff who oversee intern placements.
  12. Works with the Revenue Cycle department in conjunction with the Service Area Director and Associate Service Area Director to develop, implement, and ongoingly manage budgets for the Crisis Services Programs.
  13. Monitors service billing and ensures that any billing suspense is resolved within 30 days.
  14. Works with the Revenue Cycle department in conjunction with the Service Area Director and Associate Service Area Director to develop Key Performance Indicators for the Crisis Services Programs.  Works with the Crisis Services Staff to monitor the achievement of the Key Performance Indicators and ensure that they are met or exceeded.
  15. Perform other duties as may be deemed necessary by the Service Area Director.

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:  Provides supervision to the Crisis Services Staff

 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  any of the following:

A master's degree in a human service field and five years of experience in mental health services, with two years of supervisory experience.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS NEEDED:  Must have an independent clinical license such as LCSW, LPC, or equivalent.  Valid driver’s license is required.

MANDATED PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

Completion of essential learning online training as deemed appropriate by Catholic Charities.
