Our Research and Development Scientists are transforming the industry. Interns will be assigned a challenging research project requiring creative thinking, problem solving, and teamwork. Objectives/Goals: Identify and characterize mutations that enhance in vivo half-life of IgM antibodies Duties: Molecular cloning, transient expression, and bactericidal assays   Position Requirements 1 to 2 years of undergraduate work toward a B.S. in biology, cell biology, biochemistry, or related field Strong cell biology, immunology, and molecular biology skills Excitement and initiative to gain industry experience and learn new skills Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse work environment to meet project milestones in a timely fashion Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) to summarize development work, critical conclusions, and relevance to the bigger picture Ability to work in a laboratory environment and learn to use characterization equipment with an emphasis on lab safety Effective user of Microsoft Office application suite Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship, be able to work onsite in Gaithersburg, MD for the summer, at least 18 years of age, and enrolled in a full-time academic program pursuing a minimum of a bachelor’s degree   Competitive wages   Full-Time/Part-Time Seasonal   Location Gaithersburg, MD   This position is currently not accepting applications.
