Share Email Opening Title Facilities Maintenance Technician  Description Facilities Maintenance Technician- Jackson, Mississippi We are seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician to support operations by maintaining our Service Centers and equipment. We are looking for an individual who can work independently while at the same time possessing the ability to use common sense to accomplish the tasks required, efficiently and effectively. Someone who is self-motivated and willing to step in and help wherever necessary. Duties and Responsibilities: Operate large, powered machinery and equipment (e.g., saws, drills, grinders, blowtorches, pressure cleaners, jackhammers, and power tools Perform all aspects of property maintenance, including preventative, corrective, deferred and emergency maintenance Maintain all maintenance shops and storage rooms in an orderly fashion and in compliance with safety regulations Maintain accurate inventory control of tools, equipment, and supplies Perform maintenance inspections and repairs on the service center building and on the service center equipment Assist the maintenance team on special maintenance projects; preventive maintenance of building components and/or mechanicals Serve as on-call maintenance for emergencies when needed Perform all other duties as assigned Qualification: Maintenance knowledge is imperative along with the capability to assess health and safety requirements Have multi-unit building maintenance experience Electrical/plumbing knowledge preferred Must demonstrate consistency in quality of work Ability and willingness to take direction and follow through as directed Must be able to multi-task Ability to work independently, managing multiple tasks while maintaining a positive attitude Physical Requirements: Able to work in all types of weather Flexibility, frequent bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, and climbing activities Lifting and carrying of bulky or heavy items Able to work on your feet for extended periods Additional Requirements: 2-3 years' experience in multi-unit commercial facility maintenance Preferred experience with hydraulics electrical and pneumatic Ability to pass a background check Valid, Florida driver license Daily travel between job sites and out of state travel as needed (company van provided) Company benefits include: PTO Medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance 401k with company match Employee discounts on personal vehicle Cell phone allowance Salary to commensurate with experience   Category Maintenance   EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
