Turning Point Community Programs is hiring a Program Coordinator for our Behavioral Health Services Team Program in Modesto. Turning Point Community Programs (TPCP) provides integrated, cost-effective mental health services, employment and housing for adults, children and their families that promote recovery, independence and self-sufficiency. GENERAL PURPOSE

Under the administrative supervision of the Program Director, this position is responsible for the supervision of Personal Service Coordinators and assisting the Program Director in the functioning of the core management team; may carry a small caseload of clients. Responsible for effectively coordinating and collaborating with funders and community partners. Supports team in meeting program goals.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

This is an at-will leadership position within a program. Additionally, this position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of assigned staff who perform the established duties of the program. This is a management position responsible for all phases of the management process within the assigned program.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – (ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY)

  • Responsible for oversight of core treatment team and direct service staff on that team and support supervision of all staff in both teams.
  • Coordinates the change of levels of care or movement of clients within the program or change in case load needs.
  • Reviews and tracks staff progress notes, monitors staff billing to make sure staff are meeting billing goals and responds appropriately.
  • Supervises staff performance with paperwork needs and make sure they are meeting deadlines.
  • Manages and approves time cards, approves time off requests, and make plans for vacation coverage needs.
  • Provides training, feedback and coaching to staff. Prepares and completes staff performance evaluations.
  • Develops plans and procedures to address program needs or address difficult client cases that involve community partners.
  • Supports client or program needs, by authorizing and tracking use of program credit card, when necessary and approved by the PD/DD.
  • Regularly communicates with Stanislaus County leaders to forecast and troubleshoot staff or client concerns.
  • Conducts interviews and provides input and recommendations for hiring.
  • Provides after hours on-call, back-up support on a rotational basis.
  • Provides “on-the-spot” counseling that is both helpful to the clients and staff, consistent with the philosophy of the program.
  • Completes paperwork as assigned in a timely manner.
  • Assists with the maintenance needs of the program facility and vehicles.
  • Assist with monthly utilization review.
  • Ensures representation in required county/programmatic meetings.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with on call duties

Compensation: $62,400 - 77,376

 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES

Education, Training and Experience

A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is through graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field and valid registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) ; varied experience as a provider of mental health services.

Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements:

  • California driver’s license & current vehicle insurance/registration
  • Reliable means of transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspection if more than five years old excluding all modes of two-wheeled transport inclusive of bicycles, mopeds and motorcycles.
  • License eligibility/registration with BBS or CA Board of Psychology
