For more information please visit www.astrazeneca.com .   Description Title: Bioprocess Technology and Engineering Summer Intern Location: Gaithersburg, MD Duration: 10-12 weeks AstraZeneca is a global, innovation-driven biopharmaceutical business that focuses on the discovery, development and commercialization of small molecule and biologic prescription medicines. Astrazeneca is pioneering innovative research and exploring novel pathways across key therapeutic areas, including respiratory, inflammation and autoimmunity; cardiovascular and metabolic disease; oncology; neuroscience; and infection and vaccines. We are currently seeking candidates who are working towards obtaining a Bachelors degree (incoming junior or senior) or Masters degree in chemical engineerng, biochemical, bioengineering, or similar field for a paid summer internship.  Core Responsibilities: Develop dialysis methods. Make detailed observations, analyze data, interpret results, and exercise appropriate technical discretion in the design, execution, and interpretation of experiments in an independent manner. Working with equipment to run dialysis.   Position Requirements Position Requirements: Excellent written and oral communication skills, good time management and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team-centered environment. General lab skills, lab safety skills, ability to lift 30 lbs, use of UV spectrophotometer, peristaltic pumps, and other equipment/instruments.  Programming in Labview or Python a plus. Excellent math skills. Good documentation and writing skills. GPA Minimum: 3.0 Must be enrolled in a fulltime academic program with the goal obtaining a bachelors or masters degree.  Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.   Full-Time/Part-Time Seasonal   Location Gaithersburg, MD   This position is currently not accepting applications.
