Description

Position summary: This person will coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedule. Individual will coordinate with the various production groups (Operations, Planning, Maintenance, and QA) to expedite processing of material. accounting for inventory stock in the Warehouse and production floor.

 

Qualifications required:

Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office (specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to communicate well with others and to be a team player

Strong organizational skills

Self-motivated, self-starter

Effective at time management and prioritization

Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines

Experience in a manufacturing environment, in a scheduling or production Inventory control function, is preferred

MRP experience is a plus

IFS experience is preferred

Associate/Master’s degree in business preferred but not required

 
Position Requirements

Essential functions and responsibilities:

Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedule

Perform inventory control functions and cycle counts as required.

Review and distribute production, work, and shipment schedules

Confer with department supervisors and leads to determine progress of work and completion dates

Compile reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems

Close Shop Orders with accurate information

Investigate and fix inventory issues and discrepancies, and identify problems and report to manager/floor supervisor(s)

Investigate and fix shop order issues, and identify problems and report to manager/floor supervisor(s)

Knowledge of job; review and maintain accuracy of shop orders

Track, locate and move critical and overdue materials to specified production areas

Proactively review shop orders for completeness and part availability

Locate and expedite shop orders within the facility

Group incoming and in-process material required to complete a kit

Cross-train in various operational functions to serve as back-up during peak workload

Report any potential food safety, legality, quality or food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel

Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices

Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance, and quality systems

Must follow all company policies and procedures

Non-essential skills and experience:

Chart closure of shop orders and review material issue
