Position Purpose

Enable Tulsa Technology Center facilities to maintain a necessary state of readiness for staff and students by providing timely installation and repair of electrical systems in new construction and remodels.

 

Essential Functions

 

  1. Install electrical equipment components, parts and systems with a minimum of disruption to classes, offices, or work areas.
  2. Troubleshoot and repair problems with electrical components, equipment and systems; restoring use with appropriate expediency.
  3. Test electrical components and systems at project completion points to ensure the installation is ready for users.
  4. Determine material orders; price materials; create requisitions and purchase orders: order materials for new construction and remodel projects.
  5. Review and validate work orders to ensure appropriate materials and methods will be used to satisfy request.
  6. Consult with end users concerning electrical needs during construction and installation of wiring.
  7. Manage critical time frames for job completion; accommodate changing plans and specifications during job installation.
  8. Maintain District compliance with electrical code for projects under supervision.
  9. Perform tasks and duties relevant to any of various roles or responsibilities assigned by supervisor and determined by management to be appropriate for this position; comply with all policy, procedure, regulation and other communicated requirements as may be in effect for the workgroup or worksite.
 
Position Requirements
  • This position requires a minimum of three years experience working as a Journeyman Electrician.
  • Must be skilled in use of meters and test equipment for electrical systems and be able to interpret findings.
  • Requires State of Oklahoma Journeyman and appropriate local Electrician License
  • Must have a valid Oklahoma Class D Driver's License.
  • Bilingual is a plus

Salary Schedule Facilities Support  
Hiring Range $39,2500 - $43,451 annually depending on experience and education, plus $6,600 additional compensation yearly for salary-in-lieu of paid dependent benefit coverage.

About the Organization Tulsa Tech is the oldest and largest career & technical training center in OK. We are an independent public school district, with multiple campuses in the Tulsa County area. Our school serves secondary students from public school districts throughout Tulsa County, as well as private, parochial and home-schooled students. A significant adult enrollment is also served throughout the year in both full and part-time training programs. We also provide custom training programs for business and industry in NE Oklahoma.
