Our client is seeking to hire multiple Acquisition Program Managers to join our team near Washington, DC Navy Yard. Upon award, you will:

  • Lead a team of Columbia Group employees and subcontractor personnel supporting a NAVSEA program office in new ship acquisition.
  • Responsibilities include: providing expertise to the customer in acquisition strategy development, consolidating stakeholder inputs to develop acquisition plans and ship planning directives (SPDs), supporting contract planning and development, monitoring contract performance, and ACAT I acquisition reporting.
 
Position Requirements

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 15+ years of DoD acquisition management, contract management, or technical business management (Master's degree will count as two years of experience).
  • Clearly documented experience in the management of DoD contracting for ship or ship system acquisition that includes assessment of contract performance and associated reporting.
  • U.S. Citizenship is a prerequisite.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Preferred

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Hard Science or Business.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Amphibious Ship and/or Sealift Ship experience.

This position is contingent upon and subject to the award of the contract from the government. You will be hired on a contingency basis.
