The Wilbert Group is seeking a passionate and eager professional to utilize their knowledge of software design and systems to lead and architect the modernization of our student learning and support systems for Pierce Mortuary Colleges. Ideal candidate will have experience working with faculty, developers, contractors, and software providers leading software analysis, design, configuration, support, and testing efforts for a college or educational organization.

Sr. Developer - Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in CS, CIS, or related field
  • Solid Object-Oriented Programming skills
  • Good understanding of all Software Development Life Cycle Phases
  • 4+ years' experience in application development
  • 3+ years of development experience using Microsoft technologies
  • 3+ years using: C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET and SQL Server
  • Solid knowledge of .NET framework 4.5 or higher, C# , MVC, WCF Web Services, Windows Workflow, Visual Studio 2015 and higher, REST, SOA, object serialization for XML/JSON
  • Develop using HTML5/CSS/JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS and TypeScript
  • Experience working with TFS or similar
  • Solid knowledge of SQL Server 2014 and higher with the development of stored procedures, service broker, and triggers
  • Performance tuning, code profiling, code review, hands-on experience using Best Patterns and Practices
  • Good understanding and experience on Enterprise Integration Patterns, B2B, EAI and EII integrations
  • Microsoft Certification preferred
  • Power BI experience
  • Experience working with PowerShell/install packages
  • Knowledge of Student Information Systems, CRM Systems, and Learning Management Systems

For Technical

  • C# skills
    • Specially on how to call the API's - Odata and WCF services
  • Azure Platform Experience
    • Look into Azure Functions and Logic apps - this will allow server less development and deployment. Lot of documentation is @ MS Docs
  • Awareness of .NET technologies and understanding of VB.NET
    • Creating variables, assigning data types, and a basic understanding of development languages
  • Awareness of:
    • Windows Workflow Foundation
    • CSS themes
  • General development knowledge of variables, arguments, control logic, exception handling, debugging, etc.
  • Expertise in the following is recommended:
    • AngularJS (expressions)
    • OData
    • REST (JSON)
    • Bootstrap (themes)
    • Workflow tracking and persistence
 
Position Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related degree
  2. Three or more years of technical experience in administration, development, and customization of a CMS, LMS, or SIS in an enterprise environment
  3. Demonstrated experience with different (Moodle) LMS solutions and knowledge
  4. Demonstrated experience with Student Information System integration, knowledge, and processes
  5. Demonstrated experience in web development HTML, PHP
  6. Aptitude for learning new software applications and technologies
  7. Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job
  8. Ability to work independently

Preferred Requirements

  1. Demonstrated experience with configuring, administrating, tuning for performance, and securing LMS/SIS-related applications
  2. Moodle IT experience
  3. Experience in a higher education setting
  4. Ability to create new users and upload new courses into to the LMS system, as well as create custom reports based on evaluation results and employee training statuses.
  5. O365, Azure or AWS cloud administration experience
  6. Windows AD user security and basic network and PC support skills
