All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.   Location St. Louis   Position Export Specialist   Description Coordinates freight transportation and the export process, ensuring compliance with US and foreign government laws and regulations Coordinates the transportation of freight for all ferrous and non-ferrous shipments Ensures documentation for all shipments are accurate and in compliance with state, federal and international regulations or trade agreements Oversees the timely completion of paperwork and monetary transactions associated with international distribution including coordination of container dispatch and delivery, rate filing and filing compliance, and preparation of shipment documentation Negotiates rates with carriers, maintains database of rates and updates regularly Resolves issues with carriers, clients, customs or government officials; manages any claims related issues Manages and develops broker relationships and/or other supplier/vendor relationships, monitoring service levels and tracking performance Performs other responsibilities as assigned or directed   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Exempt/Non-Exempt Exempt   Position Requirements Bachelor's degree in business, international business, management or other related field and a minimum of 2 years experience in the transportation of goods nationally and internationally preferred. Excellent communication skills required to manage both internal and external relationships both tactfully and effectively. Proficient in Microsoft Office 2010.
