JOB REQUIREMENTS Education and/or Experience Must possess a Highschool diploma. Desire to work in the lab and vineyards with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and prioritize attention to detail. Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred. Individual must have an interest in agriculture and possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable by Opus One Winery. Skills Must be able to perform quality work, safely and consistently with minimum supervision or direction. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Use proper safety equipment and safety procedures. Able to handle multiple competing tasks and priorities. Have strong verbal and written communications skills. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional variables. Ability to comprehend the consequences of various problem situations and to refer them to the appropriate people for resolution. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Working Conditions Work is mainly performed in a Vineyard/Laboratory/Cellar. The individual is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles relative to normal Cellar and Lab processes. Noise levels are usually moderate to loud. Hazards: Occasionally works near moving machinery parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals. Frequently exposed to various weather conditions.
