The Payroll Administrator will assist in the processing of changes in HRIS, Payroll, and Timekeeping environments. This position requires strong attention to detail as well as the ability to perform multiple tasks with accuracy. Organizational and time management skills are a must.

In addition, the Payroll Administrator will provide excellent customer service to our partners in the field regarding payroll questions and issues, and will assist with bi-weekly payroll and special payrolls as needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the bi-weekly processing of paychecks for a 1200-employee company with multi-state locations utilizing HRIS software.
  • Responsible for creating and editing internal reports on a bi-weekly/quarterly/annual frequency utilizing intermediate to advanced skills with Excel.
  • Review and approve all new hires into the payroll system once onboarding is complete.
  • Input all employee data into the HR/payroll system. This includes merit increases/terminations/garnishment orders and all other personnel support paperwork.
  • Scan personnel documents weekly in the personnel file database.
  • Perform wage verification for garnishments/loan applications/government entities.
  • Assist employees as needed with the Employee Self Service (ESS) module in HRIS software. Upload/remove notifications on the ESS portal as needed.
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Two years of payroll experience including electronic payroll processing and timecard preparation
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel
  • Experience with HR/Payroll HRIS systems
  • Verbal communication skills required to explain procedures and answer questions.
  • Proficient with Windows applications, including spreadsheets, merging, and uploading electronic files.
