Audit Supervisor 

Description

This individual works with various engagement teams to provide audit and other professional services. Responsibilities will include supervising engagements ranging from relatively simple to complex. This position offers excellent opportunities for leadership and career advancement within the audit and accounting profession. Limited travel is required for this position.

  • Plans and assesses risk for audit engagements and conducts risk assessment meetings.
  • Carries out audit procedures which include inquiries, analysis, observations, and inspection of documents.
  • Monitors work-in-progress on client engagements.
  • Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement in internal controls or processes.
  • Reviews and evaluates financial statements and working papers prepared by engagement team members.
  • Ensures team members’ work is performed in accordance with all applicable professional standards.
  • Confers with client management, owners, and personnel.
  • Develops proposals for professional services for prospective clients
  • Builds new and existing client relationships and demonstrates knowledge of client business.
  • Identifies opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients.
  • Actively participates in staff development, including providing mentorship, making recommendations for training, and participating in evaluations.
  • Manages multiple clients, budgets, and production goals.
 
Position Requirements

Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in accounting or accountancy.
  • CPA Certification is preferred.
  • 3-5 years prior auditing experience.

Skills:

  • Strong accounting and analytical skills.
  • Strong computer skills: proficiency in Tax software, Excel, Word.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to utilize research materials and other resources
  • Detail-oriented & able to multi-task.
