For more information please visit www.astrazeneca.com .   Description Location: Gaithersburg, MD We are currently seeking sophomores, juniors, or seniors who are working towards obtaining a  Science or Engineering-related degree (Chemical engineering or Biochemical engineering preferred) for an internship assignment during the summer of 2022. Core Responsibilities: Improve the accuracy of our Fit-to Plant modeling tool and build it to provide facility fit information to aid downstream tech transfers into our internal manufacturing plant.   Primary Duties: Apply engineering and computational principles to create facility fit models for downstream clinical manufacturing. Analyze and interpret historical and current manufacturing data to provide a baseline for current prediction accuracy with existing model. Collaborate with a variety of SMEs to learn about the existing tech transfer business process to make recommendations on modeling improvements. Present work to a broad audience range.   Position Requirements Position Requirements: Demonstrated capability of solving multifaceted problems using engineering principles and creative thinking Detail oriented Good interpersonal skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong work ethic and can work independently Programming or data modeling experience are a plus Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0+   Full-Time/Part-Time Seasonal   Location Gaithersburg, MD   This position is currently not accepting applications.
