Job Summary

The Pirates Content Studio Producer/Editor is an experienced and well-versed media producer who helps us build unignorable media that drives our storytelling narrative and business value. Our focus is to tell the stories of our past, present, and future in ways that connect on an emotional level with our fanbase and future fanbase, using unbridled creativity, risk taking, and forward-thinking techniques and skillsets.

The Producer will be an integral part of the Story Team at the Pirates, working alongside videographers, producers, designers, social strategists, and creative directors to make the best work of their lives. This role will be integral to all day-to-day production and will own the pre-production, execution and studio maintenance and upkeep roles for the organization. A strong understanding of current advertising, social and media trends that will engage and audience, tell a brand story and drive ticket sales is a must.

Responsibilities

Primary

  1. Serve as producer/editor for the organization, building unique and engaging content for every touchpoint in our omnichannel content ecosystem.
  2. Research, create and deliver both traditional and non-traditional video content that tells our brand story.
  3. Have a basic to mid-level understanding of motion graphics, rich media and design.
  4. Brainstorm and ideate on ways to better engage our fanbase using video and motion
  5. Take a brief from concept to execution without fear of failure.
  6. Work directly with the marketing, design, video, project management and ballpark entertainment team on work prioritization, ideation, planning, iterative content product development, release, and analysis.
  7. Create any required visual aids to help build a concept (e.g.: storyboards, outlines, layouts, mockups, scripts).
  8. Understand consumer marketing trends, segments and go-to-market targets from our integrated marketing team while aligning creative collateral to customer preferences, interests, and desires.
  9. Manage your daily project load, ensuring deliverables are on time and ladder back to the brief
  10. Provide and accept real and constructive feedback when necessary.
  11. Working directly with leadership to ensure KPI’s and goals are obtained personally and for the brand.
  12. Attending project, client, and team meetings, bringing your expertise to each situation while offering up an insane amount of killer ideas.
 
Position Requirements

Required:

  1. Authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
  2. Degree in Video Production, Art, Motion Graphics, Design or New Media or equivalent experience.
  3. A strong knowledge of lighting for video, and the ability to lead a production set.
  4. 3-5 years of shooting/editing experience in a professional sports, collegiate sports or agency setting.
  5. Experience building a brand and a product using visual elements.
  6. Experience producing, animating, and finalizing work.
