Hiring for Regular and Seasonal positions: Full-Time and Part-Time.

Candidate Profile
Hilldrup is immediate need of a customer service oriented candidate to assist trailer or straight truck driversdaily during the loading or unloading process. This candidate is responsible for handlingall furniture in a safe manner, packing and unpacking shipments, and carrying furniture in and out of houses in a safe, efficient manner daily. This position requires the incumbentto be on theirfeet and go up and down stairs with loads of 50 - 100 lbs for 6 - 10 hours daily.

Significant Job Responsibilities Include

  • Satisfying the customer on each job;
  • Carries furniture and cartons from residence to truck;
  • Assists driver with wrapping and padding of furniture items;
  • Packs and unpacks shipments;
  • Assists driver with paperwork;
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50-100 lbs alone; up to 400 lbs in a team carry;
  • Must be able to go up and down stairs while carrying furniture;
  • Must be able to walk, lift, and carry for 6-10 hours daily.
 
Position Requirements

Minimum Job Qualifications Required

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 6 months to 1 year preferred. Training available.
  • Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations: Must complete UVL Packer and Mover Certification training.
  • Basic literacy and math skills;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Strong work ethic and dedication to customer service to ensure customer satisfaction on every job;
  • Quality service of utmost importance.
