Location: Waltham, MA

We are currently seeking candidates Sophomore, Junior, Senior undergraduates in Biology, biochemistry, chemistry, engineering or related fields for an internship assignment during the summer of 2022.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Gain practical, bench-based drug discovery knowledge and experience in a pharmaceutical R&D setting.
  • Learn cutting-edge technology for drug development in a fully automated setting.
  • Gain exposure to advanced laboratory automation and robotics.

 

Primary Duties:

  • Maintain compound (chemical) production through learning automation and robotics
  • Support a variety of molecular and cellular biology experiments
  • Test drug candidates using biochemical and cell-based assays
  • Collect and analyze experimental results; Record experimental procedures and scientific findings in lab notebook
  • Summarize and present frequent updates at project team meeting
  • Contribute to the advancement in quality and sustainability efforts.
 
Position Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Must be a current college student who has completed biology/ biochemistry/ chemistry or engineering courses
  • Knowledge of basic biology techniques (e.g. cell culture, basic lab math skills, etc.) is preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of modern engineering principals and application
  • Strong enthusiasm and work ethics; Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience with Lab Based software a Plus.
  • Strong desired to pursue a scientific career in the future
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0+
