Description

 

Position summary

  • The primary function of a Pricing, Costing & Rebates Team Lead is to assure that all pricing of products is maintained accurately and updated in the system in a timely manner.
  • The Pricing, Costing & Rebate Team Lead’s function is also to work with Palmer Holland Account Managers, Business Managers, Sales Partners, Buyers and Principals to ensure our pricing and rebates are following policies established by Palmer Holland and its Principal partners.

 

Essential tasks of the position

 

  • Provides leadership, support, and guidance to other Pricing/Costing Specialists.
  • Ensures a strong line of communication between management and the Pricing/Costing Team.
  • Serves as a support person to Pricing/Costing and Rebate Specialists with day-to-day operational questions.
  • Participate in various projects as requested; manage and complete projects and tasks as assigned in a timely manner.
  • Identify areas for improvement and initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels, not only in the direct department, but throughout the company Update Rebate expirations and renewals in Sage X3.
  • Submits Rebate renewals to our principals as initiated by the sales partners.
  • Submits monthly rebate requests to our principals with rebate relationships.
  • Perform regular audits to ensure timely and accurate information in Sage X3.
  • Reviews and make corrections to invoices using credit/rebill function. Examples of corrections are rebates, freight, cost, inventory adjustments.
  • Follows up on outstanding rebates due and reconciles credit memos against rebate requests when received.
  • Ensures accuracy of the pricing of new products in the systems.
  • Revises Purchase Price Book as needed.
  • Prepares/maintains Enterprise Account Customer price lists following requested customer format.
  • Ensures relevant documents are maintained and filed appropriately.
  • Provides support for new pricing initiatives, including gathering requirements from cross-functional teams, testing and implementation.
  • Serves as a lead contact for internal customers for pricing & rebate needs and for ad-hoc support.
  • Provides backup to other accounting team members when necessary.
  • Performs any other duties assigned by management. Review all price increases from the principal and update Purchase Price (cost books) in the system.
  • Performs other tasks assigned at the discretion of management.
  • Assist Accounting team members as necessary to assure all month end activities are completed per PH Policy
  • Ensures all documents are scanned and saved per PH policy.

Activities of the position affect quality including quality objectives. Responsibilities and authorities include where appropriate:

  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to the product, process, or quality system, up to and including when necessary, stopping production to correct quality problems.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system.
  • Document problems, steps taken for resolution, and preventative action in CRM software and notify all parties required.
  • Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • Verify the implementation of solutions in areas under your control.
  • Control further processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming products until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
  • Perform duties and tasks as prescribed in company policies, procedures, and work instructions.

  • Intermediate level of expertise in MS Office and Contact Management Software
