LaForce is one of the largest distributors for commercial door opening products and services. We have over 65 years of experience in the door, frame and hardware industry which allows us to provide solutions to our commercial general contractors as well as our end user customers. We currently have nearly 600 employees and 15 locations throughout the nation and are continuing to grow, through greenfield initiatives and acquisitions. It is due to this growth that we are adding a Vice-President of Sales to our executive team in Green Bay, WI.

Reporting to the CEO, the VP-Sales serves as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team. This is a team focused, results oriented executive role responsible for the planning, development and oversight of the strategic direction for the Contract and Aftermarket (End User) sales channels. This position is responsible for achieving sales bookings, profit margins and billing objectives in all categories.

 
Position Requirements

As the VP-Sales, your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team to set strategic direction and optimize internal relations to achieve corporate initiatives.
  • Spearhead business development initiatives that align with the company's overall growth strategy.
  • Actively participate in strategic planning and sales forecasting/budgeting.
  • Drive the LaForce culture, mission and values throughout the sales organization including a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ensure proper training, development, recruitment and retention practices are developed and executed by sales managers throughout the organization. Serves as a key mentor, advisor and leader for sales directors and managers.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize relationships with customers, vendors and industry partners.
  • Create strategic alignment of all sales channels.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Estimating and all product/service departments to accomplish business objectives; identify areas of opportunity and improvement
  • Participate in due diligence activities in acquisitions along with strategic due diligence in greenfield growth and other expansion opportunities.
  • Create and maintain strong internal relationships at all levels of the organization to ensure customer needs are met and profitability targets are achieved.
  • Drive cross-functional decision-making and accountability for major financial performance drivers to deliver profitable growth for LaForce.
  • Develop sales compensation strategies that align with company objectives and are competitive in the marketplace.
  • Develop and measure KPI’s for sales teams to drive performance.
  • Assist Directors in analyzing department structures and staffing needs to meet objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the required duties may be considered.
  • Minimum of five (5) years sales leadership experience at a divisional level or above.
  • Experience in commercial distribution required. Experience in the commercial construction value chain a plus.
  • Experience in the distribution or commercial construction industries preferred but not required.
  • Individual should have increasingly responsible leadership experience involving strategy development and deployment, leadership and team building.
  • A developed skillset in computer applications, organization, problem solving, and communication required.
