The Project Services Maintenance Team, based in Wisconsin,provides project based maintenance and general plant maintenanceto all facilities throughout Badger Mining Corporation and its subsideraries. Responsibilities will include the safe repair, maintenance and fabrication of all mining equipment typically found in a sand mining facility including pumps, conveyors, bucket elevators, screen decks, cyclones, dust collectors, dryer drums, silos, etc
Candidates must be willing and able to travel where the need is identified within the United States and Canada. Travel will consist of long periods of time at one location on a rotational basis. Work shifts are determined based on the project, and can include long hours.
The team is currently assisting the Kermit Sand Plant in West Texas. The typical schedule will include working on-site for two-weeks, and then traveling back to Wisconsin for two-weeks. During the two-weeks back home in Wisconsin, these individuals may or may not have work at the Wisconsin based plants.
Job Specific Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- 2 years maintenance experience in an industrial setting,completion of an apprenticeship program or technical school program
- Millwright and/or welding certifications preferred
- Aggregates (sand) mining experience a plus
- Experience with welding, fabricating, and belt splicing
- Knowledge of sand plant equipment including hoppers, feeders, conveyors, bucket elevators, cyclones, screens, dryers, and silos
- Ability to use various hand tools and equipment as necessary
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Mobile equipment operation skills including but not limited to scissor lifts, boom lifts, material handlers, and forklifts
- Certified in crane rigging and signaling a plus
- Familiarity with mine site safety rule and regulations (MSHA)
- Basic computer skills
- Punctual, reliable and able to work irregular and extended hours and weekends
- Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather (heat, cold, rain) for extended hours inlcuding entire shifts
- Able to lift 50 pounds frequently, up to 100 pounds occassionally, climb stairs/ladders, work at extreme heights and in confined spaces, and walk on uneven or rough terrain
