Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical equipment, facilities, production, QA or systems used in manufacturing
  • Conferring with internal or external customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects
  • Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support or testing activities
  • Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials
  • Supervising or training technical team members
  • Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation
  • Maintains product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality systems
  • Report any potential food safety, legality, quality or food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel
  • Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Must follow all company policies and procedures

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls: reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee is/or may be exposed to high noise levels that require hearing protection. Employee may also be required to wear safety glasses and/or safety gloves.
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications required:

  • Associates degree in Electrical Engineering; Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
  • Experience in using or a desire to learn PLC and HMI programming
  • Knowledge of sensors, motor controls and drives
  • Proficient in troubleshooting electrical controls
  • Willing to travel as needed

Qualifications desired:

  • Familiar with collaborative robotics
  • Experience in setting up and maintaining vision systems a plus
