Command and Control (C2) SME

This Command and Control (C2) SME will provide subject matter expertise to all task areas as required through the performance of this task order.

Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:

  • Advises, assists, and conducts HQ AMC organizational design activities.
  • Leads matrixed, multi-disciplinary teams for accomplishment of PWS C2-related tasks and projects providing direction across broad areas of C2 responsibility.
  • Conceives, plans, and executes a variety of projects requiring exploration of C2 subject areas, definition of problems, and development of cost-effective approaches for resolution.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to all task areas as required through the performance of this task order.
  • Perform Multi-Domain, All Domain C2 projects.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
  • Assist with proposal development, if necessary.
Position Requirements


  • Prior AOC experience preferred.
  • Rated pilot or navigator with five (5) or more years in air mobility platforms.
  • Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in MAF C2, including management or leadership roles in organizational design, systems analysis and design, conversion and implementation support, project management, data/records management, resources management, or database planning and design.
  • Previously demonstrated leadership skills in various MAF or similar positions.
  • Experience in organizational design linking organizational structure and processes to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
  • Experience in writing and developing Air Force policy. Knowledge of MAF C2 and KM systems (e.g., GDSS, MAFPS, SharePoint, …).


  • Master’s (preferred) degree in management or information technology related field.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • PMP certification desired.

Other Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Extensive rated knowledge in air transportation, air refueling functions, aeromedical and Contingency Response forces and AOC operations.
  • Knowledgeable on global secure communications, process reengineering, knowledge management processes and tools, budget management and administration, personnel management, and supervision, preparing/transmitting periodic reports, cost benefit analysis.
  • JCIDS expertise with emphasis on capabilities-based analysis of the C2 Joint Capability Area (JCA).

  • COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement. Security Clearance: Secret security clearance required.

US Citizenship: This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Sawdey Solution Services to staff it only with U.S. Citizens.
